in every 17th August Indonesia celebrate independence day. I am grateful until this day, people still celebrate it. although we only got one day off. unlike another country, Chile whose government gave one week holiday at the day of independence.
the day before the independence day, in Ubud the students and the community has a tradition surrounding the Peliatan village with a flame torch on their hand. Which purpose other than to have fun also symbolizes that we are still giving awards for the heroes who have fought in the past.
although for the students see this parade is just for fun, walk and surrounding brings fire and sprayed with oil so that it looks cool.
and anybody were happy!
